Merrell Chameleon II Stretch Gore-Tex XCR
$120.00
Released January, 2005
The Pros:Redesigned toe from the original Merrell Chameleon is much more durable, doesn't peel. Great traction on trails, holds onto mud and rocks. Offers good protection throughout the upper against roots and branches.
The Cons:Will see significant damage if you get them wet too often. No ankle support, need to control how the foot lands.
Super breathable and reliably waterproof Gore-Tex XCR protects the uppers of these low-slung, close-fitting shoe. The stiffened, protective sidewall ribs on the mesh upper serve as anchor points for the friction-lock elastic lacing system.
EVA footframe keeps the profile low and cushioning high. Merrell Chameleon Sport Sole expands the Octogrip tread in a helix pattern that puts more protection at the heel and launch pad lug at the ball of your foot.
